The author of this drama, Venkatesvara Kavi is the son of Dharmaraja Dikeita of Naidhruvakasyapagotra, author of Sabhāpativilāsa Nataka, which is described under No. 4529. He was a contemporary of Sāhaji and Serfoji I (1684
1730 A. D.)
