The Vedāågas are next taken up. The Max. on Sikqa, Chandas Nirukta and Jyautiga (Nos. 1678-1729) are described. These are followed by the M88. on Vedalakasna more particularly comprised by Vedic grammar, including Prātišākhya and other subsidiary texts (Nos. 1724-1818). Nos. 1817-1942 contain notices of Møs, belonging to the subject-matter described in Volumes I-III, in the form of a Supplement, as these were detected too late for incorporation earlier. Here ends the Third Volume.
At the ond of the Third Volume several Indices are added. For such indices, Volumes 1-III are treated as a whole. The indices deal alphabetically with Names of Authors, Owners of Moho, Soribes of Mss, and Names of Works.
VOLUME IV.
Volume IV describes in detail Srauta-Sūtras, Bhagyas thereon and a portion of Srauta Prayogas. Nos. 1943-2028 describe the various Srautasūtras belonging to the first three Vedas. The Srautasūtrabhágyas are then noticed in detail (Nos. 2029-2072). These are followed by Mss. op Srautaprayoga (Nos. 2078-2356) chiefly dealing with the seven Haviryajñagamsthās and their accessories. These are the Adhana, Agnihotra, the Anvārambhaplya, the Darsapūrpamāsa, the Agrayapa, the Pipdapitfyajõa, the Citormásya, the Nirūdhapasu bandha and the Sautrāmani Hacrifices.
