Närāyaṇa, the author of this drama was the son of Lakamidbarádhvarin who was a master of all the Sietras. They resided in the village of Bralımadeia on the banks of the Palár, near Kāñcipura in the Chingleput District.
The work deals with the story of the marriage of King Kanthirava with Kamali.
