Nos. 1427-1559 describe the Upanigadbhāqyas belonging to the Advaita school, Nos. 1870-1673 to the Dvaita school and Nos. 1674-1077 to the Višistādvaita school.
The Vedāågas are next taken up. The M88. on Sikşã, Chandas Nirukta and Jyautiga (Nos. 1678-1723) are described. These are followed by the Mss. on Vedalakpaña more particularly comprised by Vedic grammar, including Prátisakhya and other subsidiary texts (Nos. 1724-1816). Nos. 1817-1942 contain notices of Mss. belonging to the subject matter described in Volumes I-III, in the form of a Supplement, as these were detected too late for incorporation earlier. Here ends the Third Volume.
At the end of the Third Volume several Indices are added. For such indices, Volumes 1--III are treated as a whole. The indices deal alphabetically with ‘Names of Authors, Owners of Mss., Soribes of Mss, and Names of Works.
VOLUME IV. Volume IV describes in detail Srauta-Sūtras, Bhāşyas thereon and a portion of Srauta Prayogas. Nos. 1943-2028 describe the various Srautasūtras belonging to the first three Vedas. The Srautasūtrabbāşyas are then noticed in detail (Nos. 2029-2012). These are followed by Mss. ou Srautaprayoga (Nos. 2078-2356) chiefly dealing with the seven Haviryajñasamsthās and their accessories. These are the Ādbāna, Agnihotra, the Anvāram. bhamiya, the Darsapūrņamāsa, the Agrayana, the Pindapitfyajaa, the Citurmāsya, the Nirūdhupagubandha and the Sautrāmani sacrifices.
