Total 26,601 VOLUME I.
Volume I describes in detail the Samhitäs of the four Vedas
and the bhāøyas thereon. There are 596 Mss. dealing with the Samhitās of the four Vedas. Along with the Rg-Vedasamhita the Rg-Vedic Miscellaneous Sūktas, the Rg-Vedasambitānukramanikās and Rg-Veda padapăthas are also noticed. Similarly, along with the Samayedasamhitã, the Sāmavedapadapăthas, the Simavedagānas and their Anukramanikäs are described. After the Samhitãs of the four Vedas the Suqhitābhāgyas (Nos. 697-697) are noticed. This completes Volume I.
VOLUME II.
The Second Volume begins with the Brāhmaṇas belonging to the various Vedas. Nos. 698-828 describe the Brāhmaṇas. The Brāhmaṇabbāßy as are then noticed (Nos. 829-659). After the various Brāhmaṇabhäqyas, the Araṇyakas are described (Nos. 860 -898). The Upanişads are then dealt with (Nos. 899--1420), They are classified according to the Veda to which they are attached, as is described in detail in the Muktikopaniqad. Those that are not mentioned in the Muktikopa niqad are grouped under the general heading Miscellaneous Upanigads.' Nos. 1421-1426 deal with & few Miscellaneous items belonging to the Brāhmaṇas and Upanisade. Here ends the Second Volume.
