BHĀRADYĀJA SRAUTA SŪTRA.
This is one of those Srauta Sūtras that have not been published yet. No. 2027 describes a copy of the Bhäradvāja Srauta Sūtra in 15 Praśnas. This also belongs to the Taittiriyaśākhā of the Krena Yajurveda.
KATYĀYANA SRAUTA SUTRA.
No. 2028 describes a copy of this work. It belongs to SuklaYajurveda. The copy described is incomplete. This Katyāyana is regarded as the same as the famous author of the Vārtikas on Pāṇini Sūtras. If this is so, the work may be definitely dated about the fourth or even the fifth century of the pre-Christian
era.
COMMENTARIES ON THE SRAUTASŪTRAS.
ĀSVALĀYANASRAUTA,
There are three different commentaries on the ĀsvalāyanaÁrauta-i.e.) that of Siddhāntin, Nārāyana and Sadgurusisya. Of these, the commentary of Siddhāntin is represented by a single copy (No. 2029.); that of Nārāyana, by 9 copies (Nos. 2030-2037) and that of Sadgurusinya by 2 copies (Nos. 2038 and 39). The commentary of Nārāyana alone has been published so far. Who this Nārāyana is, where and when he flourished are all points which have not yet been settled.
The commentary of Siddhantin is a rare work. Copies of it are rare. Little is known about the nativity of the author. The name may suggest an Āndhra origin to the author. The Tanjore
