This poem in three Sargas is stated to have been composed with a view to supplement the story of Vãsudēva or Krsņa dealt with in the Vāsudēvavijaya of Vasudāvakavi, a Brahmin resident'of Puruvana village in the Kērala country (the modern Malabar, Cochin and Travancore). The poem treats of the destruction or Karsa by Krsna and describes the three chief incidents leading to this result. The poem, like its model, illustrates the various forms of the Sanskrit verbal roots taken from Bhimashna's Dhatupātha and Madhava's work (Dhatavrtti). The first Sarga treats of roots from the rate to Faif, the second deals with those of तुदादि and the third with those from रुधादि to चुरादि.
