Begins on fol. 1a. The other work herein is Rukminikalyāna 55a. Complete in 16 Sargas.
A poem dealing with the incidents that occurred in the life of Nala and Damayanti after their marriage: by Vandarubhaṭṭa or VandāruDvija-Madhava, who says that he composed this work to please Rāma Varma, a prince of Matha or Cochin. The author is described to be the son of Nilakanthadhvarin and Sridevi and to have studied under bis grandfather, Subrahmanyasudhi of Palghat, and under Rudraguru. The author was educated by the queen, and after marriage he taught the third prince of Kōtilinga (Cranganore). He was then brought over to Cochin by the queen, Subhadra, to teach the young prince, who, on ascending tho throne, gave him annual pension. Sri Harsa and his Mahakavya are herein mentioned.

अथामराशासितदार सादरः स राजराडिन्दुरिवान्धकारतः । नलः कलङ्कन्नयशोंशुमण्डलः कलेर्जुगोपोदधिमेखलामिलाम् ॥ स नूतने दारपरिग्रहेऽप्यहो चिरन्तनीं तद्वदभुत मेदिनीम् । गृहीतुमेनां न हि लेभिरेऽन्तरं व ( प ) रे चिरेणापि सुरेश्वरा इव ॥ दिने दिनेऽसौ मनुमान्यवर्त्मना सधर्मकार्थाय धरामरीरमत् । प्रतिक्षपं मन्मथसंमताध्वना सधर्मकामाय तथैव भीमजाम् ॥ नृपेण तेनैव घरार्थवत्यभूद् दमस्वसुः साऽनधरा ह्यभुज्यत कथं प्रियां तामधरं पिबन्नयं न वेद्मि राजा नघरां व्यधात्स्वयम् ॥
मन्दारान्वितहरिचन्दनद्रवृन्दैः सन्तानान्तरितत रातपारिजातम् । आसक्तभ्रमरकदम्बकल्पवृक्षं सूद्यानं कथमदधान्न नन्दनत्वम् ॥ इत्थं गणेन गुणिनां क्रमिणामृतूनां लोकेश्वरः स युगपत्समुपास्यमाने । तां नन्दनायितवने समियेष भैमीं शच्या समां रमयितुं शतमन्युलक्ष्मीः ॥
