Deals with the Vrata which consists in investing the Asvattha tree with the sacred thread and then performing its marriage, one half of the tree being considered to represent the bride and the other half the bridegroom. Beginning: ___अश्वत्थस्येशानदिग्भागे पुण्याहवाचनमभ्युदयं पञ्चामृतस्नानं तत्तन्मन्त्रैरश्वत्थपूजा, अमिप्रतिष्ठापन, वस्त्र यज्ञोपवीतमौञ्जयजिनधारणं तत्तन्म न्त्रैः कुर्यात् । अश्वत्थे वो निषदनमित्यूचा गन्धाक्षतादिभिस्तं पूजयेत् । End:
