आषाढे शकपक्षे तु एकादश्यामुपक्रमेत् । प्रत्यहं देवतावेदिं गोमयेनोपलिप्य च ॥ शालितण्डुलचूर्णेन पचवर्णैस्तथा शुभैः । आदावेकन्तु निक्षिप्य सर्वतो भद्रदायकम् || स्वस्तिकं शङ्खचक्रे च ततश्राष्टदलं क्षिपेत् । अथ गोपादपद्मानि निक्षिपेच्च सहस्रकम् || पूजयेत् पुरुषसूक्तेन उपचारान् समर्पयेत् ।

This Vrata consists in the worship of Visnu with one hundred thousand flowers of different kinds, the worship commencing from the eleventh day of the bright fortnight in the month of Aṣāḍha and extending over a period of four months. This is considered to have the power of enabling one to realise one's desires.
