यथा शुक्लचतुर्दश्यां पूर्वाले स्नानतरशुचिः । प्रायश्चित्तन्ततः कुर्याद्यथाशक्त्यनुसारतः ॥ दोरनष्टं यथा तस्य तथा कुर्यादतन्द्रितः । स्नात्वा नद्यां घटं पूर्ण सचेलं गृहमध्यमे ॥ कृतनित्यक्रियो भूत्वा द्विजानुज्ञा ततः परम् । उपविश्य शुचौ देशे कृत्वा सङ्कल्पपूर्वकम् ॥
तस्मात्सर्वप्रयत्नेन प्रायश्चित्तं समाचरेत् ॥ विधिरब्दादिकं प्रोक्तं सर्वदाप्यधिकश्वरेत् । शरीरशुद्धिदं कृत्वा व्रतं कुर्याद्विचक्षणः ॥
