This is an Upaparāņa said to have been taugh by Brahman to Vyäsa. It consists of two Khandas, Upasanakhanda and Lilakhanda, and contains 250 Adbyāyas made up of 12,000 granthas. A copy of this work is described in detail in Aufrecht's Bodleian Library Catalogue, No. 134. Beginning:
ऋषय ऊचुःसूत सूत महाप्राज्ञ सर्वशास्त्रविशारद । सर्वविद्यानिधे त्वत्तो वक्ता नान्योपलभ्यते ॥ जन्मान्तरे कृतं पुण्यमस्माभिस्तु महत्तरम् । तेन सन्दर्शनं जातं सर्वज्ञस्य सतस्तव ।। वयं धन्यतमा लोके जीवितं नस्सुजीवितम् । पितरो वेदशास्त्राणि तपास्याश्रम एव च ॥ अष्टादश पुराणानि विस्तराच्छ्रावितानि नः । अन्यान्यपि हि नश्श्रोतुमिच्छास्ति द्विजसत्तम ।
