________________ 1187.] (a) Miscellanea In the sth gåtha, we have the word kusala which is interpreted as omnisicent. The same is the case with kusala occurring in Yogadarśana ( II, 4 and 27). See the corresponding bhāşya where kušala is explained as sarvajña-carmamaśariri-kşiņakleśa'. Begins.- fol. 1976 ATTIÀ GĦUifA etc. as in No. 1189. In Acāradinakara (pp. 280-2815) we have these very eight gåthås and their explanation. They are introduced there with the words ETUVCHIP fentTTTOAISIT TO and on pp. 3256-3263 we have fret CIEE with a commentary. Pandit Sukhlal in his Hindi edition of Pañcapratikramaņa (p. 64), has however observed that this poem of 8 verses should be called आचारगाथा and not अतीचारगाथा as the subject-matter pertains to åcåra, and he has so named them. This view of his is refuted in Siddhacakra (vol. IV, No. 6, pp. 127-139 ). There it is said that since ācāras are mentioned in these gāthās with a view to remind one of the aticāras and that since the subject is not anumodana of suksta but censuring of evil deeds and repentence, it is correct to style this work as prai .
