380-81. Author.- A Jaina saint. Subject.— The 8 gāthās in Prakrit pertaining to the five acāras and
their subdivisions, the five ācārās being ( 1 ) jñānācāra, (2) darśanācāra, (3) căritrācāra, (4) tapācära and (5) viryācāra. Out of them the 3rd, 6th and 7th gåthås are found with slight variations in Uttarādhyayanasútra in XXVIII, 31; XXX, 8; and XXX, 30 respectively whereas gāthās 2 to 8 exactly tally with gāthas 184, 182, 185, 186, 47, 48 and 187 of the niryukti of Daśavaikalikasūtra. Moreover, its 6 gāthả has much in common with the 30th verse of Uttaradhyayanasūtra.
Its ist gāthā can be compared with gātha 181 of Dasa vaikālikasūtraniryukti. The first hemistich of the 3rd gatha
tallies with that of Avaśyakasūtraniryukti (v. 1561 ). 1 All of them are quoted in Acārapradīpa. See its printed edition (pp. 16, 11a, 39b, 66b, 83a, 83b, 836 and 91b respectively). They are being recited in the aticāras pertaining to the pākşika, căturmāsika and samvatsarika pratikramaņas.
