first chapter of Uttarādhyayanasútra. The tenth resembles the Isth chapter of Uttaradhyayanasútra and has some gāthās in common with it.
The ist Cülikă deals with the problem of the stability of a Jaina saint shaken in faith while the second, with the question of secluded residence. Thus on the whole the entire work deals with the life a Jaina saint is expected to lead.
