Extent – 78 leaves; 8 lines in a page, about 28 letters in a line. Description - Country paper. Devanagari characters of an old type with पृष्ठमात्राs, fairly correct, bold and legible writing, borders of most of the leaves are considerably damaged; especially of the first ten leaves. The margins which are broad contain running explanations on the text, which are a mixture of Sanskrit and Hindi. Complete up to the end of the Taddhitaprakarana.
Katantra grammar with
a Commentary
Begins- ॐ नमः सरस्वत्यै । नमो गुरुभ्यः ।
Author – Sarvavarman, of the original aphorisms; and Durgasimha of the commentary which is perpetual and very concise. Subject-Aphorisms on grammar, with a commentary. The topics treated are संज्ञा, स्वरसंधि, प्रगृहा, व्यजनसंधि, विसर्गसंधि, शब्द संज्ञा, शब्दसाधन, कारक, समांस and तद्धित. Thus the arrange - ment of the Katantrasūtras is different from Panini's.

सिद्धो वर्णसमाम्नायः । सिद्धः खलु वर्णानां समाम्नायो वेदितव्यः । न पुनरन्यथोपदेष्टव्य इत्यर्थः ।
