अमरसेन-वज्रसेन-रास ___Amarasena-Vijrasena-rasa (अमरसेन-वयरसेन-रास) (Amarasena- ayarasena-rāsa)

1891-95. Size.- 101 in. by 4} in. Extent.- 33 folios; In lines to a page; 38 letters to a line. Description.- Country paper thick, tough and grey; Devanagari
characters with quarzis ; clear, bold, uniform and big hand-writing; borders doubly ruled in red ink rather carelessly; red chalk used; fol. to decorated with three 10 small circles in red ink, one being in the centre and the other two, in each of the two margins ; foll. numbered as usual ; corners of the first fol. slightly damaged ; foll. 7 to 32 more or less spoiled perhaps due their being exposed to rain; the last fol. has its, nether border pasted to a strip of 15 paper; condition very fair; yellow pigment rarely used; composed in Samvat 1649 in case.udadhi' stands for
four and not seven ; complete. Age.- Sainyat 1697. Author.- Saighavijaya, pupil of Gunavijaya, Subject. - A narration of Amarasena and Vayarasena in different
metres in Gujarāti. This work is styled by the author as कथा, रास and आख्यानक as well, whereas the scribe
designates it as रास. Begins.- fol. 1'अई ऐं नमः ॥ श्रीगुरुभ्यो नमः॥
प्रथम ढाल दूहा ।। राग आसाउरी ॥ सकल सिद्धि मुख संपदा । लही बुद्धि विनाण। पंचपरमेष्टी प्रणमीह । हुइ घरि कोडि कल्याण ॥१॥ श्रीआदीश्वर शांति जिन । यदुपति नेम जिणंद ।
पास वीर प्रभु पाए नमुं पंच तीरथ सुखकंद ॥ २॥ etc. The 8th couplet is:
ब्रह्मलता वागेश्वरी । आपो षचन रसाल ।
कथा भएं वयरसेननी । अमरसेन भूपाल ॥ ८॥ The 16th stanza is as under :--
प्रकरण पुष्पमाला तणी । गाथा भणी सुजाणि । रसीक संबंध श्रवणे पुण्यो । रास रचुं शुभ वाणि ॥ १६ ॥
