My Revered Guru : Dr. Jain
'Do not be discouraged by the coolness and silence of most of your readers and listeners. Remember the Jain dictum that the ignorant are infinite, while enlightened are few.'
Balaghat, 17-09-1972 He wrote this to me when I sent the copy of my papers 'Kulkara System with a new approach.'
I am very sorry that your invitation to the Magadh University Seminar was not kept up, particularly when you had once accepted it and also promised to contribute a research paper. But you should not be too much upset over it or feel any bitterness towards anybody, for such happenings are becoming very common of these days on account of personal likes and dislikes. A scholar and religious man like you should ignore them, and continue to concentrate on one's own programme of work, without taxing the mind with these small things. You should also free your mind of the past unpleasant memories if any, and plan your future with a pure mental vision.'
Balaghat, 22-01-1971 It was written in reply to my letter regarding the unscholarly behaviour of some members of the organising committee of the Prakrit Seminar, Magadh University, to drop my name from the list of the delegates, although I was invited first and also to the heartless behaviour of some scholars not to give a glass of water even to their dying colleague like myself due to attack of pox.
'I also note your growing interest in medicine which of course, affords for more opportunities of serving humanity and relieving its sufferings. My advice to you, however, is that more serious thought should keep it as your side activity or make it your whole-time occupation. Think about it from the point of view of your main interest as well as the practical requirements of life.'
