________________ 164 स्वर्ण-जयन्ती गौरव-ग्रन्थ But question arise that if Nirvāņa or Mokşa is real state of sukha or bliss, the opinion that 'Pleasant things are produced from pleasant things' introduces 'Moksa is a pleasant thing achieved through a comfortable life. But another pleasant thing' is opposed and proved to be futile. The Sukha or infinite bliss was the goal of Mahavira's religious life, which was not to be measured by the finite happiness of mortals. So the main aphorism of Mahavira's teachings was: The Infinite bliss is not fortunate among men as the reigning monarchs, it is reachable only through dukkha or pain of foregoing and forsakingall finite happiness. True Happiness must be free from every possibility of pain even in the future. This can only the found in Mokşa and hence its importance. The way to the Mokşa is the main object of every Jaina work. Trratna First sūtra of Tattvārthasūtra a famous work of Umāsvāti has introduced the path of liberation in these word 'Samyagdarśanajñānacãritrāņi mokşamārgah2. This is trio spiritual jewels. The three jewels are right faith, right knowledge and right conduct. Right faith (samyak darśana), right knowledge (samyak jñāna), and right conduct (samyak cāritra) together is the real path to attain the liberation from karmic matter of one's self. These trios do not represent three different paths, but are the three facets of the same path. Of the three, Right faith (samyaka darśana) is the most important. In its absence, no knowledge, however much, wide and varied, or objectively correct can be called Right Knowledge, and no conduct, however, noble and moral, can be described as Right Conduct. The Uttarādhyayānasūtraenvisages without right faith, there is no right knowledge; without right knowledge, there is no virtuous conduct; without virtue, there is not deliverance; and without deliverance, there is no perfection. Right Faith Right Faith (Samyagdarśana) is considered to be the prime cause of mokşa in as much as it paves the way to right knowledge and right conduct. Right faith removes all doubt and skepticism Jain Education International For Private & Personal Use Only www.jainelibrary.org
