The Abhinandan Granth of Acharya Shiromani divine soul Acharya Deshbhushanji Maharaj is much more than a book. It is an encyclopaedia of the divine practice of Arihanta. In its 1800 odd pages it covers many subjects, experiences, philosophies, religious traditions, and different branches of divine knowledge. I was very happy to learn that the Acharyaratna Shri Deshbhushanji Maharaj Abhinandan Granth Samiti has brought out this scholarly volume to honour the great sage of our times. Acharya Deshbhushanji Maharaj is a symbol of knowledge and practice. His studies, analysis and writings on a variety of subjects are impressive. At the time of our first meeting he was editing Siri Bhoovalaya which is a complex collection of every deep knowledge once described by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, our First President as The eight wonder of the world.
Encyclopaedia of the Divine Practice
When I decided to travel abroad to spread the message of Lord Mahavir, I faced much opposition from some sectarian people. Acharya Deshbhushanji Maharaj was a staunch supporter of my mission. He blessed my journey and lovingly gave me the title of Dharmacharya, the Acharya of Religion. He has my gratitude and respect. He is a true guru, teacher, advisor and instructor. He has immense knowledge of Matrika Vidya. He is an authority on Mantras, particularly the Namokar Mantra. He has done a lot for the betterment of temples, education, libraries, social reform and Jain unity.
It is appropriate that we should celebrate the phenomenal work of this wise and talented saint who has given so much to the world. My blessings to all involved in the emergence of this great book which is destined to gain rapid respect in every University and Library. My thanks to all.
