My best wishes for the success of the birth centenary celebrations of Saint Kavivarya Pandit Shree Nanchandraji Maharaj of Saurashtra.
Shri Nanchandraji Maharaj will be remembered not only as a Jain saint but also as a person who rendered unique services for the social uplift of the people. Though he became a monk, he combined spiritual devotion with social work to help the weak and the down-trodden. It is the life of such saints that gives us not only spiritual solace but also an inspiration to work for the material upliftment of the poor and the weak. I am glad to have the opportunity of joining in the tributes to the late saint on the occasion of his birth centenary.

શ્રી નાનચન્દ્રજી મહારાજને ફકત એક મહાન સંત તરીકે જ નહિ, પરંતુ લોકોના સામાજિક ઉદ્ધાર માટે અજોડ સેવાઓ પ્રદાન કરેલ એક વિભૂતિ તરીકે પણ યાદ કરવામાં આવશે. તેઓ સાધુ હોવા છતાંય, નિર્બળ અને પતિને મદદ કરવાના સામાજિક કાર્યનું આધ્યાત્મિકતા સાથે તેમણે સંકલન કર્યું હતું. આવા સંતનું જીવન જ આપણને ફકત આત્મિક શાંતિ જ નહિ કિન્તુ દરિદ્ર અને નિર્બળના ભૌતિક ઉર્ધ્વગમન માટે કામ કરવાની પ્રેરણા સુદ્ધાં આપે છે. તેમની જન્મશતાબ્દિના આ પ્રસંગ ઉપર સદ્દગત સંતને શ્રદ્ધાંજલિ અર્પણ કરવાના કાર્યમાં સહભાગી થવાની તક પ્રાપ્ત કરતાં મને હર્ષ થાય છે.
