२५१ विछावे । बालकको स्नान कराकर वस्त्र आभूषण पहनावे । फिर अच्छे मुहूर्तमें उस कपड़ेपर बालकको पद्मासन बैठावे । पद्मासन बैठानेकी विधि यह है कि बालकका मुख पूर्व दिशाकी ओर करे, बायें पैरको नीचे और दाहिने पैरको ऊपर करे, तथा पैरोंके अपर उसके दोनों हाथ धरे । इस तरह बैठाकर उसकी आरती उतारे और विप्रगण आशीर्वाद दें। उस दिन सब सजनोंको प्रीतिपूर्वक भोजन करावे । " सम्पूज्य श्रीजिनभूमिकुमारान् पंच पूजयेत " ऐसा भी पाठ है, जिसका अर्थ होता है कि पांच कुमार बालब्रह्मचारी जिनोंकी पूजा करे ॥१३१-१३५॥
मंत्र:-ॐ हीं अहं असि आ उ सा बालकमुपवेशयामि स्वाहा । . इस मंत्रको बोलकर बालकको बैठावे ।

मंत्र-ॐ नमोऽहते भगवते भुक्तिशक्तिमदायकाय बालकं भोजयामि पुष्टिस्तुष्टिचारोग्यं भवतु भवतु इवीं क्ष्वीं स्वाहा । यह मंत्र पदकर बालकको अन्न खिलावे ।
