शुचिभिः सलिलैः स्नातो धौतवस्त्रसमन्वितः । स्वभार्यायां क्रियाः कुर्यादाचायतित आदरात || ६४ ॥ जिनपूजां च होमं च गृहे कुर्यात्स पूर्ववत् । आचार्यः कुलवृद्धाभिः स्त्रीभिः सह सुमार्गगः ॥ ६५ ॥ संस्नाप्य गर्भिणीं तां तु भूपयेद्वत्रभूषणैः । उपलेपादिकं कुर्याच्चन्दनादिमुवस्तुभिः || ६६ ॥ कापीठे जिनाग्रे तु रक्तवस्त्रप्रच्छादिते । सिन्दूराञ्जनसंयुक्तां गर्भिणीं तां निवेशयेत् ॥ ६७ ॥ पुण्याहवाचनैः सूरिः सन्मन्त्रेस्तां प्रसिञ्जयेत् । पुरुषेण करे तस्याः पूगीपत्राणि दीयन्ते ॥ ६८ यवाङ्कुरैस्तथा पुष्पैः पल्लवैर्दर्भसंयुतैः ।
मालां कृत्वा तु कण्ठेऽस्या अर्पयेद्विधिपूर्वकम् ॥ ६९ ॥ यक्षादीनां तु पूर्णा दत्वा शान्ति पठेद्बुधः । ताम्बूलादिफलैर्वस्त्रैर्विभादी स्तोपयेद्गुरुः ॥ ७० ॥
अपना भला चाहनेवाला पुरुष पांचवें महीने में गर्भकी पुष्टि के लिए पुंसवन नामकी क्रिया करे । पवित्र प्रासुक जलसे स्नान कर धुले हुए साफ-सुथरे कपड़े पहनकर गृहस्थाचार्य के कहे अनुसार पति स्वयं अपनी भार्यामें सादर पुंसवन क्रिया करे । पहले की तरह अपने घरपर जिनपूजा होम आदि करे । सुमार्गगामी गृहस्थाचार्य कुलकी स्त्रियों द्वारा उत्त गर्भिणीको स्नान कराकर वस्त्र आभूषणोंसे सुसज्जित करे । उसके चन्दन केशर आदिका लेप करे । ललाटमें तिलक लगाये हुई, आंखोंमें काजल आंजे हुई उस गर्भिणीको जिन भगवानके सामने लाल कपड़ेसे ढके हुए लकड़ीके पटा पर बैठावे । गृहस्थाचार्य पुण्याहवचनों द्वारा मंत्रोच्चारण पूर्वक उसका अभिषेक करे, और उसके पति द्वारा उसके हाथों में तिल और पान दिलावे । जवके अंकुर, पुष्प, कोमल पत्ते और डाभकी माला बनाकर उसके पति के हाथते उसके गले में विधिपूर्वक पहनवावे | बाद गृहत्थाचार्य यक्ष यक्षी आदिको पूर्णाहुति देकर शांन्तिपाठ पढे । घर-मालिक उस समय वहां उपस्थित ब्राह्मणोंको ताम्बूल, फल, वस्त्र आदि देकरके खुश करे ॥ ६३-७० ॥
मंत्र-ॐ झं वं इवीं क्ष्वीं हं सः कान्तागले यवमाला क्षिपामि झौ स्वाहा ।
यह मंत्र पढ़कर पति स्त्रीके गले में माला डाले ।

अनेन तस्या अग्रे पायसदध्योदनहरिद्राम्बुकलशान स्थाप्य बालिकाकरेण स्पर्शयेत । तत्र पायसस्पर्शे पुत्रलाभः । दध्योदनस्पर्शे पुत्रीलाभः । हरिद्राम्बुकलशस्पर्शे उभयोरलाभः ।
