No. 173. ŚĪTĀ-RĀMĀNANYA ŚĪLAMAŅI composed a book named Siyākara-mudrikā, describing the rainy soason and the sports of Rāma and Sītā in that season. The author. appears to be a Sādhū of Ayodhyā.
No. 174. ŚIVĀNANDA wrote a book named Śri Rāmadhyāna-mañjari in Samvat 1878 = 1821 A.D. The book deals with the meditation on Rāma.
No. 175. ŚIVAPRASĀDA, of Sañchoời, District Kānhpura (Cawnpore), wrote a book named Dheka-charittra in Samvat 1900=1843 A.D. at the instance of a Rājā Mahipāla. It describes the women of various functional castes, each verse (Kavitta) ending in a well known proverb, like the Kundaliyās of Agradāsa.
No. 176. SIVARĀMA wrote his Prema-pachisi for the perusal of Mahārājādbirāja Sri Sawāi Pratāpasimha ji dova, apparently of Bharatapur in whoso praise he is known to have written a Pratāpapachisi. The poet flourished about 1790 A.D.
No. 177. SIYĀ-RĀMA-SARANA composed a book named Varņa-prati-jñānopadeśa or directions on spiritual knowledge, each verse beginning with the consonantal letters in due order. The book was copied in 1849 A.D. The author apparently belonged to Ajodhyā.
No. 178. ŚOBHĀ Kavi wrote his Navala-rasa-chandrodaya in the name of his patron Mahārājā Brajendra NavalaSimha of Bharatapur in 1761 A.D. The subject is the oftrepeated description of conventional heroes and heroines of love.
No. 179. SOMANĀTHA, Śasinātha or Nätha is a well known poet of great ability. The manuscripts found in this search are : (a) Brajendra-vinoda, a metrical translation of the
10th canto of Bhāgavata composed for Brajendra Sujānasimha Mahārājā of Bharatapur.
