works of his have been found :-(a) Lalita-prakāsa in praise of Nimbārka saints and their deity and b) Sarasa-mañjāvali or devout prayers to God Krishņa. The last was noticed under no. 225 of S. R. 1906-08.
No. 167. SAMBHUNĀTHA Mißra flourished about 1730 A.D. He was a native of Asothar, district Fatehpur. He wrote a book named Alankāra-dipaka noticed in 10., 233 of S. R. 1906-08 and 27 of 1904.
No. 168. ŚANKARARĀMA, son of one Sobhārāma Kātyāyana Brāhman, composed a book named Rāma-mālā. His time is unknown, but he must have flourished before 1855 A.D. He is an ordinary writer.
No. 169. SARJŪDĀSA alias Sudhāmukhi of Pramodabana, Ayodhyā. He wrote the following books :-(a) Padāvali or songs about Rāma and Sitā, (b) Sarva-sāropadeśa or the essence of knowledge and (0) Rasika-vastu-prakāśa or the objects of interest to an enthusiast with religion, devotion and love. Pramodabana of Ajodhyā appears to be the rendezvous of religious sects.
No. 170. SARVA-ŚUKA-ŚARAŅA flourished before 1816 A.D. He composed Tatva-bodha, a book on spiritual knowledge and devotion (also noticed in no. 284 of S. R. 1909-11) and Bārahamāsi-vinaya or monthly prayer of the beloved to meet her lover directed chiefly towards Rāma.
No. 171. SĪTĀMANI Rājakumāra of Oudh wroto Iskalatikā, of which the manuscript is dated Sainvat 1901=1844 A.D. but it appears to have been prepared for him by some poet, who remains behind the curtain putting the Rājakumāra as the author, as would appear from the honorific terms used with his name at the end indicating clearly that they proceeded from a pen other than that of the Rājakumāra himself.. The book describes the love and beauty of Sītā and Rāma.
