रत्नकरण्ड कश्रावकाचारे
यतीनां । उपसर्गः कथं नश्यति ? धरणिभूषणगिरौ विष्णुकुमारमुनिर्विक्रियसिम्पन्नस्तिष्ठति स नाशयति । एतदाकर्ण्य तत्समीपे गत्वा क्षुल्ल. केन विष्णुकुमारस्य सस्मिन् वृत्तान्ते कथिते मम किं विक्रिया ऋद्धिरस्तीति संचिन्त्य तत्परीक्षार्थ हस्तः प्रसारितः । स गिरि भित्त्वा दूरे गतः । ततस्तां निर्णीय तत्र गत्वा पद्मराजो भणितः । किं त्वया मुनीनामुपसर्गः कारितः । भवत्कुले केनापीदृशं न कृतं । तेनोक्तं किं करोमि मया पूर्वमस्य वरो दत्त इति । ततो विष्णुकुमारमुनिना वामनब्राह्मणं कृत्वा दिव्यध्वनिना प्राध्ययनं कृतं । बलिनोक्तं कि तुभ्यं दीयते। तेनोक्तं भूमेः पादत्रयं देहि । अहिलब्राह्मण बहुतरमन्यत् प्रार्थयेति वारं वारं लोकैर्भण्यमानोऽपि तावदेव याचते। ततो हस्तोदकादिविधिना भूमिपादत्रये दत्ते तेनैकपादो मेरौ दत्तो द्वितीयो मानुषोत्तरगिरौ तृतीयपादेन देवविमानादीनां क्षोभं कृत्वा बलिपृष्ठे तं पादं दत्वा बलिं वध्वा मुनीनामुपसर्गो निवारितः । ततस्ते चत्वारोऽपि मंत्रिणः पद्मस्य भयादागत्य विष्णुकुमारमुनेरकम्पनाचर्यादीनां च पादेषु लग्नाः। ते मंत्रिणः श्रावकाश्च जाता इति ।
___प्रभावनायां वज्रकुमारो दृष्टान्तोऽस्य कथाहस्तिनापुरे बलराजस्य पुरोहितो गरुडस्तत्पुत्रः सोमदत्तः तेन सकलशास्त्राणि पठित्वा अहिच्छत्रपुरे निजमामसुभूतिपाइवें गत्वा भणितं । माम ! मां दुर्मुखराजस्य दर्शयेत् । न च गर्वितेन तेने दर्शितः । ततो पहिलो भूत्वा सभायां स्वयमेव तं दृष्ट्वा आशीर्वादं दत्वा सर्वशास्त्रकुशलत्वं प्रकाश्य मंत्रिपदं लब्धवान् । तं तथाभूतमालोक्य सुभूतिमामो यज्ञदत्तां पुत्री परिणेतुं दत्तवान् । एकदा तस्या 'गर्भिण्या वर्षाकाले आम्रफलभक्षणे
