________________ २१६ . स्वामी समन्तभद्र ।। ' देवागम'का एक स्वतंत्र शास्त्र होना पाया जाता है, जिसकी समाप्ति उक्त कारिकाके साथ हो जाती है; और यह प्रतीत नहीं होता कि वह किसी टीका अथवा भाष्यका आदिम मंगलाचरण है, क्योंकि किसी ग्रंथपर टीका अथवा भाष्य लिखते हुए नमस्कारादि रूपसे मंगलाचरण करनेकी जो पद्धति पाई जाती है वह इससे विभिन्न मालूम होती है और उसमें इस प्रकारसे परिच्छेदभेद नहीं देखा जाता। इसके सिवाय उक्त कारिकासे भी यह सूचित नहीं होता कि यहाँ तक मंगलाचरण किया गया है और न ग्रंथके तीनों टीकाकारों-अकलंक, विद्यानंद तथा वसुनन्दी नामके आचार्यों मेंसे हा किसीने अपनी टीकामें इसे 'गंधहस्ति महाभाष्यका मंगलाचरण' सूचित किया है, बल्कि गंधहस्ति महाभाष्यका कहीं नाम तक भी नहीं दिया । और भी कितने ही उल्लेखोंसे देवागम ( आप्तमीमांसा ) एक स्वतंत्र ग्रंथके रूपमें उल्लेखित मिलता है * । और इस लिये कवि हस्तिमल्लादिकके उक्त पद्य परसे * यथा -गोविन्दभट्ट इत्यासीद्विद्वान्मिथ्यात्ववर्जितः। . देवागमनसूत्रस्य श्रुत्या सद्दर्शनान्वितः ॥ -विक्रान्तकौरव प्र.। २-स्वामिनश्चरितं तस्य कस्य नो विस्मयावहम् । देवागमेन सर्वज्ञो येनाद्यापि प्रदश्यते ॥ -वादिराजसूरि (पा० च०) ३-जीयात् समन्तभद्रस्य देवागमनसंज्ञिनः । स्तोत्रस्य भाष्यं कृतवानकलको महर्द्धिकः ॥ अलं चकार यस्सार्वमाप्तमीमांसितं मतं । स्वामिविद्यादिनंदाय नमस्तस्मै महात्मने ॥ -नगरताल्लुकेका शि० लेख नं० ४६ (E.C,VIII.)
