तमें ग्रंथके कुछ पद्योंपर संदेहका होना अस्वाभाविक नहीं है । परंतु ये सब बातें किसी ग्रन्थप्रतिमें 'क्षेपक ' होनेका कोई प्रमाण नहीं हो सकतीं ।
और इसलिये इतने परसे ही, विना किसी गहरी खोज और जाँचके सहसा यह नहीं कहा जा सकता कि इस ग्रंथकी वर्तमान ( १५० पद्यों वाली ) प्रतिमें भी कोई क्षेपक जरूर शामिल है । ग्रंथके किसी भी पद्यको 'क्षेपक' बतलानेसे पहले इस बातकी जाँचकी बड़ी जरूरत है कि, उक्त पद्यकी अनुपस्थिति से ग्रंथके प्रतिपाद्य विषयसम्बन्धादिकमें किसी प्रकारकी बाधा न आते हुए भी, नीचे लिखे कारणों से कोई कारण उपलब्ध है या कि नहीं
१ दूसरे अमुक विद्वान्, आचार्य अथवा ग्रंथका वह पद्य है और ग्रंथमें 'उक्तं च ' आदिरूप से नहीं पाया जाता ।
२ ग्रंथकर्ताके दूसरे ग्रंथ या उसी ग्रंथके अमुक पद्य अथवा वाक्यके वह विरुद्ध पड़ता है ।
३ ग्रंथके विषय, संदर्भ, कथनक्रम अथवा प्रकरणके साथ वह असम्बद्ध है । ४ ग्रंथकी दूसरी अमुक प्राचीन, शुद्ध और असंदिग्ध प्रतिमें वह नहीं
पाया जाता ।
५ ग्रन्थके साहित्यसे उसके साहित्यका कोई मेल नाहीं खाता, ग्रन्थकी कथनशैली उसके अस्तित्वको नहीं चाहती अथवा ग्रन्थकर्ताद्वारा ऐसे कथन - की संभावना ही नहीं है ।
जब तक इन कारणोंमें से कोई भी कारण उपलब्ध न हो और जब तक यह न बतलाया जाय कि उस पद्यकी अनुपस्थितिसे ग्रंथके प्रतिपाद्य विषयसम्बन्धादिकमें कोई प्रकारकी बाधा नहीं आती तब तक किसी पद्यको क्षेपक कहनेका साहस करना दुःसाहस मात्र होगा ।
पं० पन्नालालजी बाकलीवालने जिन पद्योंको क्षेपक बतलाया है अथवा जिनपर क्षेपक होने का संदेह किया है उनमें से किसी भी पद्यके संम्बंध में उन्होंने यह प्रकट नहीं किया कि वह दूसरे अमुक आचार्य, विद्वान् अथवा ग्रंथका पद्य है, या उसका कथन स्वामी समंतभद्रप्रणीत उसी या दूसरे ग्रन्थके अमुक पद्य अथवा वाक्यके विरुद्ध है; न यही सूचित किया कि रत्नकरंडककी दूसरी अमुक प्राचीन, शुद्ध तथा असंदिग्ध प्रतिमें वह नहीं पाया जाता, या उसका साहित्य ग्रंथके दूसरे साहित्य से मेल नहीं खाता, और न एक पद्यको छोड़कर दूसरे
