## Chapter 161: Description of the Action of the Destruction of the Attachment to Conduct and the Process of Kriṣṭikaraṇa
**803** In the second time period, the *padeśagra* (the amount of merit received) is less by an infinite number of parts in the twelve *kriṣṭi-sthāna* (stages of merit) where it is being deposited. In the eleven *kriṣṭi-sthāna* where it is being given, the *padeśagra* is greater by an infinite number of parts. **666** In the remaining *kriṣṭi-sthāna*, the *padeśagra* being given is less by an infinite number of parts. **667** This is the *uṣṭrakūṭa-śreṇī* (camel-hump series) of the *padeśagra* being given in the second time period. **668**
**669** However, the *padeśagra* that is seen in the *kriṣṭi* in the second time period is abundant in the *jaghanya-kriṣṭi* (lowest stage of merit), and in all the remaining *kriṣṭi*, it is less by an infinite number of parts due to *ananta-ropanidhi* (infinite accumulation). **670** Just as the *padeśagra* is seen in the *kriṣṭi* in the second time period, similarly, there are twenty-three *uṣṭrakūṭa* in the *padeśagra* being given for the entire *kriṣṭikaraṇa-kāla* (period of merit-making). **671** The *padeśagra* that is seen is less by an infinite number of parts in all time periods. **672** The *padeśagra* that is given in the *kriṣṭi* in the first time period in total is the least. In the second time period, it is multiplied by an infinite number. In the third time period, it is multiplied by an infinite number. And so on, until the final time period, it is multiplied by an infinite number. **673**
**674** In the final time period of *kriṣṭikaraṇa-kāla*, the *sthiti-bandha* (period of stability) of the four *sanjvalana* (flames of passion) is more than four months. **675** The *sthiti-bandha* of the remaining actions is a countable number of thousands of years. **676**
