The knowledge (jnana) up to the highest point is the highest attainment (utkarsika). 419. What is the measure of the highest attainment? 420. The highest attainment is the measure of the highest obstruction (avadhya) of that which has the highest obstruction.
421. The lowest deposit (nikshepa) of the one being raised up is very small. 422. The lowest deposit of the one being lowered down is innumerable times more. 423. The lowest attainment (adhichavana) of the one being raised up is a little more than double. 424. The highest attainment of the one being raised up is, without obstruction, equal to the lowest attainment of the one being raised up, and is specially more. 425. The avalika (a unit of time) is the same. 426. The highest attainment of the one being raised up is innumerable times more. 427.
