**Ma. 123]** **Description of the special actions of the four types of karma**
When the *sthitikaṇḍaka* is complete, the *sthitibandha* and *sthitisattva* become progressively less by a number of times. When the *sthitikaṇḍaka* is complete, the *sthitisattva* of *nāma*, *gotra*, and *vedanīya* becomes less by an innumerable number of times. And when the *sthitibandha* of these karmas is complete, other *sthitibandha* become less by a number of times. In this way, it continues until the last *sthitibandha* of the *saṁkrāmaka* of the seven *nokṣāya* is attained. **[237.242]**
The last *sthitibandha* of the *saṁkrāmaka* of the seven *nokṣāya* for *puruṣavedas* is eight years. The *sthitibandha* of the *saṁjvalana* *kṣāya* is sixteen years. The *sthitibandha* of the remaining karmas is thousands of years. But the *sthitisattva* of all four *ghātiya* karmas is thousands of years. The *sthitisattva* of *nāma*, *gotra*, and *vedanīya* is innumerable years. From the place of the *dvisamayakṛta* *antara* onwards, the six *nokṣāya* become *saṁkrānta* in *krodha*, not in any other *prakṛti*. When two *āvali* remain in the first *sthiti* of *puruṣavedas*, *āgāla* and *pratyāgāla* become *vyucchinnā*. From the first *sthiti* onwards, *udīraṇā* occurs. When one *āvali* remains in the *samayāhiyā* *āvali*, *jighanya* *sthiti* *udīraṇā* occurs. Then, he becomes the *caramasamayavarti* *savadi*. At that time, the six *nokṣāya* become *saṁkrānta*. There are two *āvali* of *puruṣavedas* that are less than one *samaya*, they are only in the second *sthiti* that is *samayaprabaddha* and in the *udaya* *sthiti*. The rest of the *sthitisattva* of *puruṣavedas* becomes *saṁkrānta*. After that time, he will become engaged in *aśvakarṇakaraṇa*. **[243-254]**
* *Aśvatya karṇaḥ* = *aśvakarṇaḥ*, *aśvakarṇavatkaraṇam* = *aśvakarṇakaraṇam*. *Yayaśvakarṇaḥ* = from the beginning, from the root.
