## Chapter 123: Description of the Special Action that Quells the Attachment to Conduct
**279.** The two *avaliyabandhas* (bonds of the past) are enemies, and they are also the *uvasama* (pacifiers).
**280.** The *udayaavali* (ascending series) that was left behind by the *chandid* (competitor) is now transformed into *krusti* (karma) and, through *stibukasankraman* (transmission of karma), it will ripen as *krusti* in the *vipacchi* (resultant state).
**281.** In the second time period, it abandons the *agraggra* (foremost) of the *krustis* that arose in the first time period, i.e., it abandons the *sarvopari krusti* (highest karma) and the *adhastana asankhyatava bhaga* (innumerable lower parts), i.e., those *krustis* do not reach *udaya* (arising), but it experiences the *vedana* (suffering) of the *adhastana bahubhaga* (many lower parts). And, in the *adhastana* (lower) and the *prathama samaya* (first time period), it experiences the *samyak prakar* (proper way) of *sparsa* (touch) or *vedana* (suffering) of the *asankhyatava pratibhaga* (innumerable parts) of the *apuruva krustis* (unripe karma) that did not reach *udaya* in the first time period, i.e., those *krustis* reach *udaya*. In this way, this process continues until the *charimasamaya* (final time period) *suhumasa* (subtle) *paraiya* (bond) is *samyata* (restrained).
**282.** The *sthitibandha* (state of bondage) of the *charimasamaya* (final time period) *suhumasa* (subtle) *paraiya* (bond) is only for a *muhurtta* (moment) in terms of *jnanaavaran* (veil of knowledge), *darshanavaran* (veil of perception), and *antaraya* (obstacles).
**283.** The *sthitibandha* (state of bondage) of *nama* (name) and *gotrakarma* (family karma) is sixteen *muhurtta* (moments).
**284.** The *sthitibandha* (state of bondage) of *vedaniya* (suffering) is twenty-four *muhurtta* (moments).
**285.** At that time, all *mohaniya* (delusive) *karma* is *uvasanta* (pacified).
**286.** From that time until the *antarmuhurtta* (inner moment), it remains as *kasayavitaraga* (free from passions).
**287.** In the entire *uvasanta* (pacified) period, i.e., in the eleventh *gunasthan* (stage of virtue), the *avattida parinam* (resultant state) occurs.
**288.** At that time, the *gunashreni* (series of virtues) *nikshepa* (deposit) of *jnanaavaran* (veil of knowledge) and other *karma* is of an *ayama* (extent) equal to the *sankhyatava bhaga* (countable part) of the *uvasanta* (pacified) period.
**289.** It remains in that state due to the *ayama* (extent) of the *gunashreni* (series of virtues) *nikshepa* (deposit) that occurs in the entire *uvasanta* (pacified) period, and also due to the *aparkshana* (withdrawal) of the *pradesaya* (region).
**290.** When the *prathama gunashrenishipak* (first virtue-series-maker) arises, there is an *utkrusht pradesodaya* (arising of a superior region).
**291.** In the entire *uvasanta* (pacified) period, the *kevaljnanaavaran* (veil of pure knowledge) and *kevaldarshanavaran* (veil of pure perception) ...
