**Exposition of the Nature of Restraint-Attained-Goodness as Neither Inferior Nor Superior**
It is not possible. It is not possible for there to be an inferior or superior aspect of character-attainment without the intensity or mildness of the result. Therefore, even though a person who has subdued the passions and is free from attachment may fall later, there is no diminution in the purity of their results until the end of their time. Therefore, the inferior aspect of their attainment, as it is known, cannot be considered in the state of fall. The same is true in the case of the one who is facing the thirteenth stage of virtue, with their passions weakened, or the one who is facing the fourteenth stage of virtue, with their passions completely subdued, that is, their attainment cannot be considered as superior either. Therefore, it is proven that due to the absence of passions, the attainment of all those who are free from attachment is the same in terms of restraint-attained-goodness, as it is known, and there is no difference in it. This is the reason why their attainment has been described as neither inferior nor superior, that is, devoid of inferiority and superiority.
Thus ends the thirteenth gate of the path, called Restraint-Attained-Goodness.
