Ga. 114] The exposition of the nature of the destroyer of darsana-mohaniya (delusion obscuring right belief) and the destroyer of kasaya (passions), the two kinds of karmas, is as follows:
25. The one who first allays the kasayas and then destroys the darsana-mohaniya, and the other who first destroys the darsana-mohaniya and then allays the kasayas, when both of them have completed the work of destroying the exhausted darsana-mohaniya and allaying the kasayas, and the equal time has elapsed, the duration-determining karma (sthiti-samtaka-karma) of both of them is equal. But the one who has destroyed the darsana-mohaniya later, his duration-determining karma is less; and the one who has first destroyed the darsana-mohaniya and then allayed the kasayas, his duration-determining karma is innumerable times more.
26. In the first moment of the apurva-karana (the new karma-producing activity), the duration-determining part (sthiti-khanda) of the karma present with the minimum intensity is a fraction of a palya-upama. [With the maximum intensity, it is equal to the pradhanatva (principal part) of a sagaropama.]
27. The second duration-determining part (sthiti) arising from the previous duration-binding is a fraction of a palya-upama.
28. The fractions of the anubhaga (intensity) of the inauspicious karmas are innumerable.
29. The guna-sresthi (series of qualities) is outside the udaya-avali (series of manifestations).
30. In the second moment, the same duration-determining part, the same intensity-determining part, and the same duration-determining karma as in the first moment are present.
