1. The five suttagaha (sutra-gatha) verses that describe the topic of damsanamohakavanaa (destruction of darsana-moha) should be recited first.
2. The jiva (living being) born in the kammabhumi (karma-bhumi, the human realm) and residing in the manusagati (human state) is the one who initiates the destruction of darsana-moha (delusion regarding right faith). However, the one who completes it is present in all four gatis (states of existence).
Specific points:
- The initiation of the destruction of darsana-moha can only be done by the samyagdrsti (right-faith) human being born in the karmabhumi, not others. This is because the arising of the required pure dispositions for the destruction of darsana-moha is impossible for beings born in other gatis.
- That karmabhumi-born human must be born in the sushama-dushama or dushama-sushama-kala (auspicious or inauspicious time periods).
- He can initiate the destruction of darsana-moha at the feet of a Tirthankara, Kevali (omniscient), or Srutakevali (omniscient by scriptures), but not elsewhere. This is because the magnificence of these beings allows for the arising of the pure dispositions required.
- If that human has a fixed lifespan (baddhaayushka) and completes the destruction of darsana-moha within the krtakrtyaveda (state of having accomplished one's purpose) period before death, then he completes the destruction of darsana-moha in all four gatis.
- Specifically, he will complete it in the first hell, the bhogabhumi (enjoyment realm) purusha-vedi (male) tiryañca, the bhogabhumi purus.a (male) humans, and the Saudharma and other kalpa-vasi (realm-dwelling) devas.
