## The Kasaya Pahud Sutra [Translation]
**10.** The **Samyaktv** (right conduct) is either **Oralika-yoga** (yoga of the senses) or **Ubdhiya-yoga** (yoga of the mind).
**11.** The term "**Kasaya**" (passion) is used.
**12.** The **Kasaya** is of another kind.
**13.** The question arises: "Is it increasing or decreasing?" The answer is: It is decreasing due to **Niyama** (discipline).
**14.** The term "**Uvajoge**" (application) is used.
**15.** The **Niyama** is **Sagaru-uvajoge** (application of the senses).
**16.** The term "**Lesya**" (subtle body) is used.
**17.** The **Niyama** is the increasing **Lesya** of the **Tej** (bright), **Padma** (lotus), and **Sukla** (white) **Lesya**.
**18.** The term "**Vedo ya ko bhave**" (which Veda is it?) is used.
**19.** The **Veda** is of another kind.
**20.** The term "**Kaani va puvva-vadhaani**" (what are the previous ones?) is used.
**21.** Here, the **Prayadi-sankarma** (karma of the senses), **Dvidi-sankarma** (karma of the mind), **Anubhaga-sankarma** (karma of the subtle body), and **Padesa-sankarma** (karma of the place) should be considered.
**22.** The term "**Ke va ase nivandha-diti**" (which ones are bound?) is used.
**23.** Here, the **Prayadi-bandha** (bond of the senses), **Hidi-bandha** (bond of the mind), **Anubhaga-bandha** (bond of the subtle body), and **Padesa-bandha** (bond of the place) should be considered.
**24.** The term "**Kadi avaliya pavisanti**" (which ones enter the **Avaliya** (stream of karma)?) is used.
**25.** The **Mula-payadi** (original nature) enters the **Avaliya**.
**26.** The **Uttara-payadi** (later nature) also enters the **Avaliya** if it exists.
**27.** If there is **Par-bhava-sambandhi-ayu** (life span related to the next life), it does not enter the **Avaliya**.
**Explanation:**
The term "**Kasaya**" refers to the four passions: **Krodha** (anger), **Mana** (pride), **Maya** (deceit), and **Lobha** (greed). The **Kasaya** is decreasing due to **Niyama** (discipline), which is the application of the senses (**Sagaru-uvajoge**) and the increasing **Lesya** of the **Tej**, **Padma**, and **Sukla** **Lesya**. The **Veda** is of another kind, meaning that the **Veda** is not the cause of the **Kasaya**.
The **Prayadi-sankarma**, **Dvidi-sankarma**, **Anubhaga-sankarma**, and **Padesa-sankarma** are the four types of karma that bind the soul. The **Prayadi-bandha**, **Hidi-bandha**, **Anubhaga-bandha**, and **Padesa-bandha** are the four types of bonds that result from these karmas.
The **Mula-payadi** (original nature) and the **Uttara-payadi** (later nature) are the two types of nature that enter the **Avaliya** (stream of karma). The **Par-bhava-sambandhi-ayu** (life span related to the next life) does not enter the **Avaliya**.
This is the explanation of the first verse of the **Kasaya Pahud Sutra**.
