Kasaya Pahuda Sutta [7 Upayoga-arthadhikara 148. Just as the varieties of the use of anger (krodha) by the hell-beings, so the varieties of the use of greed (lobha) by the gods. 149. Just as the varieties of the use of pride (mana) by the hell-beings, so the varieties of the use of deceit (maya) by the gods. 150. Just as the varieties of the use of deceit (maya) by the hell-beings, so the varieties of the use of pride (mana) by the gods. 151. Just as the varieties of the use of greed (lobha) by the hell-beings, so the varieties of the use of anger (krodha) by the gods.
152. In those existences of hell-beings where the uses of anger (krodha), pride (mana), deceit (maya), and greed (lobha) are innumerable, or where they are countable, the paucity or abundance of these eight terms is to be understood. 153. Therein, the determination of the observation is to be made. 154. In one year, the fraction of the uses of anger (krodha) that is the least countable, in that existence where the number of years is equal to that fraction, the uses of anger (krodha) are innumerable.
Churni Sutra - Just as the varieties of the use of anger (krodha) by the hell-beings are described, in the same way, the varieties of the use of greed (lobha) by the gods should be understood. Just as the varieties of the use of pride (mana) by the hell-beings are described, in the same way, the varieties of the use of deceit (maya) by the gods should be understood. Just as the varieties of the use of deceit (maya) by the hell-beings are described, in the same way, the varieties of the use of pride (mana) by the gods occur. Just as the varieties of the use of greed (lobha) by the hell-beings are described, in the same way, the varieties of the use of anger (krodha) by the gods occur.
Churni Sutra - In those existences of hell-beings where the uses of anger (krodha), pride (mana), deceit (maya), and greed (lobha) are innumerable, or where they are countable, the paucity or abundance of these eight terms is to be understood. Now, the determination of the division of the existences having countable or innumerable uses of these anger, etc. kṣayas is being made - In one year, the fraction of the uses of anger (krodha) that is the least countable, in that existence where the number of years is equal to that fraction, the uses of anger (krodha) are innumerable.
