[ ७ उपयोग अर्थाधिकार
३. एदाओ सत्त गाहाओ । ४. एदासिं विहासा' कायव्वा । ५. 'केवचिरं उवजोगो कम्हि कसायम्हि' ति एदस्स पदस्स अत्थो अद्धापरिमाणं । ६. तं जहा । ७. कोद्धा माणद्धा मायद्धा लोहद्धा जहण्णियाओ वि उक्कस्सियाओ वि अंतोमुहुतं ।

विशेषार्थ - उपयोग वर्गणाऍ दो प्रकारकी होती हैं- कपाय - उदयस्थानरूप और उपयोग- अध्वस्थानरूप । इन दोनोमे ही कितने कालोपयोग वर्गणावाले जीवोंसे और कितने भावोपयोगवर्गणावाले जीवोसे कौन स्थान अशून्य और कौन स्थान शून्य पाया जाता है, इस प्रकारके शून्य- अशून्य स्थानोंका ओघ और आदेशकी अपेक्षा निरूपण करनेकी सूचना गाथा के पूर्वार्धसे की गई है । तथा गाथाके उत्तरार्ध- द्वारा नरक आदि गतियोंका आश्रय करके क्रोधादि कषायोपयोगयुक्त जीवोके तीन प्रकारकी श्रेणियोके द्वारा अल्पबहुत्वकी सूचना की गई है, जिसका निर्णय चूर्णिसूत्रकार आगे स्वयं करेंगे । इस उपयोग अधिकारमे सात ही सूत्रगाथाएं निवद्ध है, यह सूचित करने के लिए चूर्णिकारने गाथाके अन्त में सातका अंक स्थापित किया है ।
चूर्णिसू० - ये सात सूत्र - गाथाऍ कसायपाहुडके उपयोग नामक सातवें अर्थाधिकारमें प्रतिबद्ध है । अब इन सातो गाथाओकी विभाषा करना चाहिए ॥ ३-४ ॥
विशेषार्थ - गाथा - सूत्रसे सूचित अर्थका नाना प्रकारसे व्याख्यान, विवरण या विवेचन करनेको विभाषा कहते है । चूर्णिकार अब इन गाथासूत्रोंकी विभापा करेंगे । चूर्णिसू० - ' किस कषाय में कितने काल उपयोग रहता है' इस पदका अर्थ अद्धापरिमाण है ॥५॥
विशेषार्थ - अद्धा नाम कालका है । कालके परिमाणको अद्धापरिमाण कहते हैं । जिसका अभिप्राय यह है कि एक जीवका किस कपायमे कितने काल तक उपयोग रहता है ? चूर्णिसू० - उसका स्पष्टीकरण इस प्रकार है - क्रोधकपाथका काल, मानकपायका काल, मायाकपायका काल, और लोभकषायका काल जघन्य भी अन्तर्मुहूर्त है और उत्कृष्ट भी अन्तर्मुहूर्त है ॥ ६-७॥
विशेषार्थ - चारो ही कषायोका जघन्य और उत्कृष्ट काल अन्तर्मुहूर्त ही बतलाया गया है । इसका कारण यह है कि किसी भी कपायका एक सदृश उपयोग अन्तर्मुहूर्त से अधिक नही हो सकता है, क्योकि उसके बाद कषायोके उपयोग- परिवर्तनके विना अवस्थान असम्भव है । यद्यपि मरण और व्याघातकी अपेक्षा कपायोके उपयोगका जघन्यकाल 'जीवस्थान' आदि ग्रन्योमे एक समयमात्र भी कहा गया है, किन्तु चूर्णिसूत्रकारके अभिप्राय से वैसा होना सम्भव नहीं है |

And by the second half of the verse, information about the smallness of the number of beings with the use of Kasayas like anger, etc., by taking refuge in hell, etc., is given through three types of categories, which will be decided by the Churnisutrakar himself later. Churnisū - Its explanation is as follows - The time of anger Kasaya, the time of pride Kasaya, the time of deceit Kasaya, and the time of greed Kasaya, both the inferior and the superior are within a moment. || 6-7 ||
