## Chapter 62: Description of the Udeerna-Sthana
**Verse 125:** Twenty-three *prakritis* enter the *udaya-avali* for the *mithyatva-vedaka-samyag-drishti*.
**Verse 126:** Twenty-two *prakritis* enter the *udaya-avali* for the *samyag-mithyatva-vedaka-samyag-drishti*.
**Verse 127:** Twenty-one *prakritis* enter the *udaya-avali* for the *darshan-mohaniya-vedaka-samyag-drishti*.
**Verse 128:** These are the *asanjada-prayoga* (non-subduing) *sthana*.
**Verse 129:** Now we will describe the *upasama-prayoga* (subduing) *sthana*.
**Verse 130:** From the *upasama-na-do*...
**Commentary:**
* The twenty-four *prakritis* of the *vedaka-samyag-drishti* experience the *udeerna-sthana* in the twenty-four *prakriti* forms of the *samyag-mithyatva-drishti*. Similarly, after *visan-yojana*, the *mithyatva-guna-sthana* is experienced by the *mithyatva-drishti* in the initial stage.
* When *mithyatva* is destroyed, twenty-three *prakritis* enter the *udaya-avali*. When *samyag-mithyatva* is destroyed, twenty-two *prakritis* enter the *udaya-avali*. When *darshan-mohaniya* is destroyed, twenty-one *prakritis* enter the *udaya-avali*.
* The *udeerna-sthana* is experienced by the *vedaka-samyag-drishti* when *darshan-mohaniya* is being destroyed. This happens after twenty-three *prakritis* are destroyed due to *mithyatva*, then twenty-two *prakritis* are destroyed due to *samyag-mithyatva*, and finally twenty-one *prakritis* are destroyed due to *samyaktva*.
* It is important to note that the *aupashamika-samyag-drishti*, who has achieved *upasama-samyaktva* by destroying the four *anant-anuvandhi-kapaya* and the three *darshan-mohaniya*, also experiences the *udeerna-sthana* of twenty-two *prakritis* when any one of the *mithyatva*, *anant-anuvandhi*, *samyag-mithyatva*, or *samyaktva* *prakritis* arises in the desired *guna-sthana* for the first time. Similarly, the *aupashamika-samyag-drishti*, who has destroyed the three *darshan-mohaniya* after destroying the four *anant-anuvandhi*, also experiences the *udeerna-sthana* of twenty-one *prakritis*. The *Churnika* does not mention these two types, but it should be understood.
* All the above-mentioned *sthana* are suitable for the *asanjata*.
* The eight *udeerna-sthana* of twenty-eight, twenty-seven, twenty-six, twenty-five, twenty-four, twenty-three, twenty-two, and twenty-one *prakritis* are experienced by the *asanjata* beings. The *Churnika* mentions this to indicate the *udeerna-sthana* suitable for the *asanjata*. Therefore, it should not be assumed that all these *sthana* are only for the *asanjata*, as seven of them, except the *udeerna-sthana* of twenty-seven *prakritis*, are also experienced by the *sanjata* beings.
* Now we will describe the *sthana* that are suitable for the *upashamika-prayoga*.
* This is the first *pa-yara* (stage) that is described as being "fixed by the *su-tta-yara* (sleep) and also by the *pa-yara-tara* (higher stage)". This is the *sambhava-vishaya* (object of possibility) that is *anu-magga-iya-cha* (also attainable) and *an-ta-anu-badhi-na* (not bound by the end). It is established by the *visajoiya* (separation) of the twenty *pa-vesa-ya-bha-va* (stages of entry) and is the *upasama-sam-ma-it-ti-ssa* (subduing right faith) for the *mithyatva-vedaka-samyag-drishti*, *samyag-mithyatva-vedaka-samyag-drishti*, *sasana-samyag-drishti*, and *an-na-dara-guna-pa-di-vat-ti-pa-dha-ma-sama-ya* (the first time the other qualities are transformed). This is the *pa-yada-t-thana-sambhava-ni-ya-ma-da-san-a-do* (the rule of the possibility of the *pa-yada-t-thana*).
