**Chapter 62**
**Description of the Time of the Arm-like Udirak**
93. How long is the time of the Appadaravesago?
94. It is one Aysamo.
95. Its highest time is three Aysamos.
96. How long is the time of the Avahidapavesago?
97. It is one Aysamo.
98. Its highest time is Antomuhutta.
99. How long is the time of the Avattvyapavesago?
100. Its highest and lowest time is one Aysamo. After this, the fourth time of the Arm-like Udirak arises due to the arousal of disgust. Thus, the highest time of the Arm-like Udirak is established as four Aysamos.
**Doubt:** How long is the time of the Alpatar-Udirak? ||93||
**Solution:** The lowest time is one Aysamo and the highest time is three Aysamos. ||94-95||
**Special Meaning:** After the arousal of the desired Alpatar-Prakriti-rupa Udiranasthan of a restrained or unrestrained being, if the arousal of a higher or lower Prakriti-rupa Udiranasthan occurs, then the lowest time is established as one Aysamo. The highest time is described as follows: For a Mithyadristi who is arousing ten Prakritis, if he arouses nine Prakritis without fear, then it is one Aysamo. After that, if he arouses eight Prakritis without disgust, then it is the second Aysamo. After that, if he attains Samyaktva and arouses six Prakritis without Mithyatva and Anantanubandhi, then it is the third Aysamo of the Alpatar-Udirak. Similarly, for an unrestrained Samyagdristi who attains restraint and unrestraint, and for a restrained Samyagdristi who attains restraint, the highest time of the Alpatar-Udirak should be described as three Aysamos.
**Churnisutra:** How long is the time of the Avasta-Udirak? ||96||
**Solution:** The lowest time is one Aysamo and the highest time is Antarmuhutta. ||97-98||
**Doubt:** How long is the time of the Avattvy-Udirak? ||99||
**Solution:** The lowest and highest time is one Aysamo. ||100||
**Special Meaning:** The reason for this is that it is impossible for the Avattvy-Udirana to occur anywhere else except for the being who starts the arousal in the first Aysamo after falling from the state of Sarvopashamana.
1. Why is the Aysamo the lowest time and the Mujgar the highest time in the subsequent Aysamo? ||93||
2. For example, if a being who is arousing ten Prakritis arouses nine Prakritis without fear, then it is one Appadaravesamo. If he arouses eight Prakritis without disgust, then it is the second Appadaravesamo. After that, if he attains Samyaktva and arouses six Prakritis without Mithyatva and Anantanubandhi, then it is the third Appadaravesamo. Thus, the highest time of the Appadaravesago is three Aysamos. Similarly, for an unrestrained Samyagdristi who attains restraint and unrestraint, and for a restrained Samyagdristi who attains restraint, the highest time of the Appadaravesago should be described as three Aysamos. ||94-95||
3. For example, if a being who is arousing nine Prakritis attains the Aysamo due to the Mujgar, and if he attains the third Aysamo in the subsequent Aysamo, then the time of the Appadaravesago is one Aysamo. Similarly, it should be understood in other cases. ||94-95||
4. For example, if a being who is arousing ten Prakritis attains the Aysamo due to the Mujgar, and if he remains in that state until the Mujgar arises again, then the highest time of the Avahidapavesago is Antomuhutta. ||97-98||
5. Why is the first Aysamo the highest time after falling from the state of Sarvopashamana? ||100||
