Vedaka-bhujākāra-artha-pada-nirūpaṇa
79. The introducer (pravesaka) of ten prakṛtis is innumerable-fold.
80. The introducer of nine prakṛtis is countable-fold.
81. The introducer of eight prakṛtis is countable-fold.
The description of the prakṛti-sthāna-udīraṇā is complete.
82. This is the bhujākāra-pravesaka.
83. The eight-pada is to be done there.
84. Then, the seven prakṛti-rūpa-sthānaka-udīraka is ten-fold, the nine-prakṛti-rūpa-sthānaka-udīraka is countable-fold, and the eight-prakṛti-rūpa-sthānaka-udīraka is countable-fold. (Similarly, the less-more should be known in the remaining gatis and the remaining mārganās.)
Specific meaning:
Before the exposition of the bhujākāra-udīraṇā, the exposition of the artha-pada is necessary, otherwise the determination of the specific terms like bhujākāra etc. is not possible. The commentator has not done the exposition of the artha-pada himself, but has only given a hint through this sūtra for the exposition by the teachers of the doctrine. Therefore, it is done here based on the Jayadhvala commentary.
The one who, in the immediately preceding time, has introduced a smaller number of prakṛtis and in the present time introduces a greater number of prakṛtis, is called the bhujākāra-udīraka.
The one who, in the immediately preceding time, has introduced a greater number of prakṛtis and in the present time introduces a smaller number of prakṛtis, is called the alpatara-udīraka.
The one who, in the immediately preceding time, has introduced the same number of prakṛtis as in the present time, is called the avasthita-udīraka.
The one who, in the immediately preceding time, has not introduced any prakṛti at all and in the present time starts introducing them, is called the avaktavya-udīraka.
Through these artha-padas, the determination of ownership should be done.
