Explanation of the gradation of the extent of the influx (asrava) of the karmic matter. 129. The influx of the karmic matter of delusion (maya) is particularly extensive. 130. The influx of the karmic matter of greed (lobha) is particularly extensive.
131. The influx of the karmic matter of laughter (hāsa) is infinitely greater. 132. The influx of the karmic matter of joy (rati) is particularly extensive. 133. The influx of the karmic matter of female sex-energy (strīveda) is innumerably greater. 134. The influx of the karmic matter of sorrow (śoka) is particularly extensive. 135. The influx of the karmic matter of dispassion (arati) is particularly extensive. 136. The influx of the karmic matter of neuter sex-energy (napuṃsakaveda) is particularly extensive. 137. The influx of the karmic matter of disgust (jugupsā) is particularly extensive. 138. The influx of the karmic matter of fear (bhaya) is particularly extensive. 139. The influx of the karmic matter of male sex-energy (puruṣaveda) is particularly extensive. 140. The influx of the karmic matter of pride (māna-saṃjvalana) is particularly extensive. 141. The influx of the karmic matter of anger (krodha-saṃjvalana) is particularly extensive. 142. The influx of the karmic matter of delusion (māyā-saṃjvalana) is particularly extensive. 143. The influx of the karmic matter of greed (lobha-saṃjvalana) is particularly extensive. 144. Similarly, the gradation of the extent of the influx should be understood in the remaining gatis (modes of existence).
145. Among all these, the influx of the karmic matter of right belief (samyaktva) is the least extensive. 146. The influx of the karmic matter of wrong belief (mithyātva) is infinitely greater. 147. In the case of the anantānubandhī (passions that bind one to the cycle of rebirth for an infinite number of lifetimes) such as anger, delusion, and greed, the influx of the karmic matter is particularly extensive.
