He is reborn in the Bhoga-Bhumi (sensual planes) of Palitovama-Asakhejabhaga-Ayus (a very small fraction of the life-span of a Palitovama). Remaining there for a little less than Antarmuhurta, he attains Vedaka-Samyaktva (enlightened right faith) and is reborn among the devas. From there, after observing the first Chadavasthi (six stages), in a little less than Antarmuhurta, he either regresses to Samyag-mithyatva (mixed right and wrong faith) or progresses to Mithyatva (wrong faith). Again, in a little less than Antarmuhurta, he regains Vedaka-Samyaktva, observes the second Chadavasthi, and at the end, through gradual regression, attains Mithyatva in Ganaika-trisagaropama (a very long duration). Then, being purified, he is reborn among humans and remains in the Avastita-Sakama (established with passions) state until he fulfills his Klesha (defilements). Then, due to the influence of Klesha, he commits Bhujagara-Vadha (serpent-killing) and becomes Sakama (with passions). He attains the maximum duration, which is a little more than two Antarmuhurtas and a small fraction of a Palitovama-Asakhejabhaga-Sagaropama.
