[5. Sankrama-arthadhikara]
Jaghanya-sankamo, ajaghannya-sankamo, sadiya-sankamo, anadiya-sankamo, dhruvva-sankamo, adhruvva-sankamo, ekajivena samittam, kala-antaram, nanajivehim bhangavicayo, kala-antaram, sanniyaso, alpabahuttam, bhujagaro, padanikshepa, and vriddhi - by these the course of transmigration should be understood.
Cunni-sutra - In the aforementioned Anuyogadvara, the term 'Thanasamukkittana' is explained. In this Thanasamukkittana Anuyogadvara, a sutra-gatha is composed: "Atthavis, cauvis, sattarasa, solasa, and pannarasa - leaving these five states, the remaining transmigration of states occurs." Thus, leaving these five states, the remaining twenty-three states of transmigration exist. Here, the specification of the states should be understood.
Special meaning - Here, the Curnikarahas given information about the specification of the states, which should be understood in brief as follows - The Mohaniya-karma has two divisions: Darsana-mohaniya and Caritra-mohaniya. Darsana-mohaniya has three sub-types: Mithyatva, Samyag-mithyatva, and Samyaktva-prakriti. Caritra-mohaniya has two sub-types: Kasaya and No-kasaya. Kasaya has sixteen sub-types, and No-kasaya has nine sub-types. All these together make twenty-eight prakritis of Moha-karma. Where all these prakritis are found, that is the twenty-eight-prakriti state. Where one less is found, that is the twenty-seven-prakriti state. Where two less are found, that is the twenty-six-prakriti state. Thus, all the states should be understood. The Curnikarawill himself decide in which state which prakriti should be reduced.
