[Verse 49]
There are twenty-three *sankamastthana* for *mati*, *shruta* and *avadhi* knowledge. In *manahparyaya* knowledge, there are twenty-one *sankamastthana*, excluding the twenty-fifth and twenty-sixth *prakriti*. In *kumati*, *kushrut* and *vibhanga*, there are five *sankamastthana* of twenty-seven, twenty-six, twenty-five, twenty-three and twenty-one *prakriti*. ||47||
**Special Meaning:** Although the twenty-fifth *prakriti* *sankamastthana* is for the *samyagsithya* *drishti* jiva, it should be understood that it is described here in the three *sad* knowledge (mati, shruta, avadhi) from the perspective of *ashuddha* *naya*. The twenty-sixth *prakriti* *sankamastthana* found at the time of first attainment of *prathamopahsama* *samyaktv* should be understood in relation to *deva* and *naraka*, as the emergence of *avadhi* knowledge is seen at the time of their first attainment of *prathamopahsama* *samyaktv*. The rest of the verse is self-explanatory. This verse also describes the *sankamastthana* of the *darshan* *marg* through *deshamarsha*. As the *sankamastthana* of *mati*, *shruta* and *avadhi* knowledge are described, the *sankamastthana* of *chakshu*, *achakshu* and *avadhi* *darshan* are also described. This means that there are twenty-three *sankamastthana* in each of these three types of *darshan*.
Now, we will describe the *sankamastthana* of *bhavya* *marg* and *aahar* *marg*.
There are twenty-three *sankamastthana* for *aahar* and *bhavya* jivas. There are five *sankamastthana* of twenty-seven, twenty-six, twenty-five, twenty-three and twenty-one *prakriti* for *anaahar* jivas. There is only one *sankamastthana* of twenty-five *prakriti* for *abhavya* jivas. ||48||
Now, we will describe the *sankamastthana* that are not found in *apgatavedi* jivas.
There are five *shunyastthana* of twenty-six, twenty-seven, twenty-three, twenty-five and twenty-two *prakriti* for *apgatavedi* jivas, meaning that these five *sankamastthana* are not found. ||49||
Now, we will describe the *sankamastthana* that are not found in *napumsakavedi* jivas. Where a *sankamastthana* is not possible, there is a *sungattaanavavasa* for it. Jayadharo.
