**~~~~**
Thus, having explained the flow of the meaning-words that are the means of understanding the Sankrama-sthana (transitional state), the author of the Sutta now uses two question-form Sutta-sutras to explain the Sankrama-sthana, Pratigraha-sthana (grasping state), and Tadu-bhaya-sthana (both states) in terms of their order.
One by one, in each Pratigraha-sthana, Sankrama-sthana, and Tadu-bhaya-sthana, what are the places of existence of the Bhavya and Abhavya beings who are marked by the fourteen Margana-sthana (stages of spiritual progress) such as motion, etc.? And what are the places of existence of the beings marked by the remaining Margana-sthana such as motion, etc.? In the five types of Bhavas such as Audayika (arising), etc., how many Sankrama-sthana are there in each specific Gunasthana, and how many Pratigraha-sthana are there? And how long does the end of each Sankrama-sthana or Pratigraha-sthana last? **[40-41]**
**Special Note:** The questions raised by these two Sutta-sutras, or the information given in the form of a description of the places, are answered in the following Suttas in the same order. The number of Sankrama-sthana and Pratigraha-sthana in each Gunasthana is shown in the diagram below.
