## Kasaya Pahud Sutra
**[4. Section on Divisions of Parts]**
9. The division of parts of the four kinds of burning and the nine kinds of sharp-pointed kasayas, starting with the destroyer of the country, and going up to the destroyer of all, is not prohibited.
10. There are two kinds of designations: designations of destruction and designations of location.
11. These two are considered as one.
12. The division of parts of the wrong belief is the destroyer of all, and is two-located, and is of the nature of a vine.
13. The division of parts of the right belief is the destroyer of all, and is four-located, and is of the nature of a rock.
14. In this way, there are twelve kasayas and six sharp-pointed kasayas.
15. The division of parts of the right belief is the destroyer of the country, and is one-located (vine-located) or two-located (wood-located).
**Commentary:**
As the parts related to the twelve kasayas increase, they go up to the destroyer of all, which is four-located and is like a rock. The reason why the sutra does not say "the destroyer of all is two-located" but instead says "the destroyer of all is two-located, and is of the nature of a vine" is because the parts of the wrong belief are found below the lowest part of the twelve kasayas. Thus, it follows that the lowest part of the twelve kasayas begins at the same location as the lowest part of the wrong belief.
**Churnisutra:**
The division of parts of the four kinds of burning and the nine kinds of sharp-pointed kasayas, starting with the destroyer of the country, and going up to the destroyer of all, is not prohibited. This means that the parts related to these thirteen types of kasayas go from the lowest part, which is like a vine, up to the highest part, which is like a rock, and is the destroyer of all.
**Commentary:**
In this way, by explaining the parts of the kasayas, we now come to the first designation, which is called the designation of names, in the *Anuyogadvara*.
**Churnisutra:**
There are two kinds of designations used for the parts related to the kasayas: designations of destruction and designations of location. These two are considered as one.
**Commentary:**
The designations of destruction and location are both used to describe the same thing. There are two types of designations: designations of destruction and designations of location. The designation of destruction is meaningful because it refers to the destruction of the qualities of the soul, such as right belief. There are two types of designations of destruction: the destroyer of all and the destroyer of the country. The designation of location refers to the location of the parts of the kasayas, which are the same as the locations of the vine, wood, bone, and rock. There are four types of designations of location: vine, wood, bone, and rock. The Churnikar will now explain these two types of designations together.
**Churnisutra:**
The lowest part of the wrong belief is the destroyer of all, and is two-located, and is of the nature of a vine. The highest part of the wrong belief is the destroyer of all, and is four-located, and is of the nature of a rock. In the same way, you should know the designations of destruction and the lowest and highest designations of location for the twelve kasayas and the six sharp-pointed kasayas, which are like the wrong belief. The division of parts of the right belief is the destroyer of the country, and is one-located (vine-located) or two-located (wood-located).
**Commentary:**
1. The designation of destruction refers to the destruction of the qualities of the soul, such as right belief. The designation of location refers to the location of the parts of the kasayas, which are the same as the locations of the vine, wood, bone, and rock.
