## Kasaya Pahud Sutta
This is how the term 'Tathi Die' is explained:
The sixteen *Kasayas* (passions), fear and disgust, have the least *sthiti-satkarma-sthana* (position of action) compared to all other *sthiti-satkarma-sthana* mentioned later. The *sthiti-satkarma-sthana* of the sixteen *Kasayas* and fear-disgust is less than the *sthiti-satkarma-sthana* of the *napumsaka-veda* (neutral gender). The *sthiti-satkarma-sthana* of the *napumsaka-veda* is less than the *sthiti-satkarma-sthana* of the *arati* (disliking) and *shoka* (sorrow) *prakriti* (nature). The *sthiti-satkarma-sthana* of *arati-shoka* is less than the *sthiti-satkarma-sthana* of *hasya* (laughter) and *rati* (attachment) *prakriti*. The *sthiti-satkarma-sthana* of *hasya-rati* is less than the *sthiti-satkarma-sthana* of the *stri-veda* (female gender). The *sthiti-satkarma-sthana* of the *stri-veda* is less than the *sthiti-satkarma-sthana* of the *purusha-veda* (male gender). In this way, one should understand the relative importance of all *marganas* (paths) according to the *agama* (scripture).
This is how the meaning of the term 'Tathi Die' in the fourth *mula-gatha* (fundamental verse) is explained. This concludes the *sthiti-vibhakti* (section on position).

1 *Sapaddi-padivakkha-vadhagadhao* (those who have attained the five virtues) are said to be those who have attained the *abhavva-siddhi-ypa-oggatthana* (stages of liberation). This is how it is: The sixteen *Kasayas*, fear and disgust, have *sthiti-satkarma-sthana* everywhere. The *sthiti-satkarma-sthana* of the *napumsaka-veda* is greater. The *sthiti-satkarma-sthana* of *arati-shoka* is greater. The *sthiti-satkarma-sthana* of *hasya-rati* is greater. The *sthiti-satkarma-sthana* of the *stri-veda* is greater. The *sthiti-satkarma-sthana* of the *purusha-veda* is greater. One should understand this relative importance in all *marganas*. Jayadho]
