## Chapter 22: Explanation of the Placement of Terms (Padanikṣepa)
**Verse 315:** This is called Padanikṣepa.
**Verse 316:** In Padanikṣepa, there are three avenues of application: Prarūpaṇā (form), Svāmitva (ownership), and Alpābahutva (fewness/abundance).
**Verse 317:** Alpābahutva is the avenue of application here. That is, we are now discussing the fewness/abundance related to Padanikṣepa.
**Verse 318:** The excellent (utkṛṣṭa) loss of Mithyātva (falsehood) is the least compared to the terms that will be mentioned later. Therefore, the increase and state of Mithyātva are both exceptionally high, being similar in nature.
**Verse 319:** Similarly, excluding Samyaktva (right faith) and Samyagmithyātva (partially right faith), one should know the increase, decrease, and state of all other actions.
**Verse 320:** However, the excellent increase and state of the actions of Napumsakaved (non-masculine knowledge), Arati (disgust), Śoka (sorrow), Bhaya (fear), and Jugupsā (aversion) are the least.
**Verse 321:** Therefore, the excellent loss of these actions is exceptionally high.
**Verse 322:** The excellent state of Samyaktva and Samyagmithyātva is the least.
**Verse 323:** Therefore, the excellent loss of these two actions is multiplied by an innumerable amount.
**Verse 324:** Therefore, the excellent increase of these two actions is exceptionally high.
**Verse 325:** All actions of the Mohakarma (action of delusion) have the same low increase, low decrease, and low state, because the time duration of all of them is the same. Therefore, there is no fewness/abundance in them.
