## Kasaya Pahud Sutta
[3 Sthitivibhakti]
1239. Who is the being, whether a hell-being, a beast, a human, or a god, who has the *bujagar* and *alpatar* divisions of the *samyaktva* and *samyagmithyatva* states? 1240. There is no *avattanyavibhakti*. 1241. Who is the being who has the *bujagar* and *alpatar* divisions of the *samyaktva* and *samyagmithyatva* states? 1242. The being who has the *bujagar* and *alpatar* divisions of the *samyaktva* and *samyagmithyatva* states is a hell-being, a beast, a human, or a god. 1243. Who is the being who has the *avattidivibhakti*? 1244. The being who has the *avattidivibhakti* is the one who, having attained *samyaktva* in the past, desires *mithyatva* in the future, and then attains *samyaktva* again. 1245. The being who has the *avattanyavibhakti* is a hell-being, a beast, a human, or a god. 1246. The same applies to the remaining *karma*s.
**Commentary:**
* There is no *avattanyavibhakti* for *mithyatva* because once *mithyatva* is destroyed, it cannot reappear.
* The *bujagar* division of *samyaktva* and *samyagmithyatva* is only for those with *samyagdristi*.
* The *alpatar* division of *samyaktva* and *samyagmithyatva* is for both those with *samyagdristi* and those with *mithyadristi*.
* The *avattidivibhakti* is for the being who, having attained *samyaktva* in the past, desires *mithyatva* in the future, and then attains *samyaktva* again. This is because the *samyaktva* state of the being in the first time period is equal to the *mithyatva* state of the being in the last time period.
* The *avattanyavibhakti* is for the being who has never attained *samyaktva* before. This is because the being has no *samyaktva* state to compare to the *mithyatva* state.
**Note:**
* *Bujagar* and *alpatar* are terms used to describe the different divisions of *samyaktva* and *samyagmithyatva*.
* *Avattanyavibhakti* and *avattidivibhakti* are terms used to describe the different types of *vibhakti* (division) that can occur.
* *Samyaktva* and *samyagmithyatva* are terms used to describe the different states of being.
* *Mithyatva* is the state of being in error.
* *Samyagdristi* is the state of having right knowledge.
* *Mithyadristi* is the state of having wrong knowledge.
